Excuse me? moment of the day.

I’m in Children’s Place at the mall today, checking out sales. As we’re shopping, I pull out some Goldfish crackers for Alissa and put them on the tray of her stroller.

I notice a little girl of about 4 or 5 eyeing the crackers.  She says to me, “Can I have some crackers, too?”

I’m not about to give a stranger’s kid food.  She could be allergic, or it may be close to her mealtime.  I have a hundred reasons why.  So I say, “Sorry, sweetie, I don’t think so.”

The mother hears the exchange and says to me, “I can’t believe you won’t share your snacks.  You shouldn’t give your kid food if you don’t have enough to share.”

I was so floored, I couldn’t even come up with a response.
