It figures.

Last week  I was practically giddy as we watched our neighbors bring in a Bobcat and proceed to tear up their yard.  They spent an entire evening and most of the next morning moving dirt, turning over the weeds, and digging holes in front of the house.

Then they left about 1:00 that afternoon, and we haven’t seen hide nor hair of anyone since.  It follows their MO: start a project, then leave it.  The problem is that they don’t just leave it for a few days, they leave it for weeks and months and even years.

So now we are stuck looking at a pile of dirt next door.  I’m not sure which is better: the weeds that were previously or the dirt that is piled up now.  Hopefully soon they will return from their week-long hiatus and finish the job that they set out to do.  I’m not holding my breath.
